DANCE CLASSES

CHOREOGRAPHY (class-to-class) **Currently On Hold**

Day TBD, Time TBD

Ages 16+

This is a dance class similar to a musical theatre class but with a focus on learning choreography and preparing for dance auditions and callbacks. Classes will cover how to convey the mood of a song while using dance and body movement to deliver the best character interpretation as possible. Each lesson involves learning and finishing a routine while implementing important dance and audition fundamentals. Any skill level is welcome and should feel comfortable and challenged in each class. This works for those who want to improve by coming weekly or for those who want to drop-in and give it a try. (It also doubles as a fun work-out!)

ACTING CLASSES

AUDITION PREP (course enrollment) **Coming Soon**

Day TBD, Time TBD

Ages 9 - 15

Day TBD, Time TBD

Ages 16+

In this class, students will learn more about the audition process from both sides of the table as well as how to become a better auditioner. Some of the course curriculum will include studying, preparing, and performing monologues in a group setting along with learning how to tackle and become proficient at "cold-reading." Students will have the opportunity at the end of the course to present their resume and take part in a mock audition.

DANCE SHOES

Dirt, rocks, and debris will harm a dance floor. This is why we require specific footwear or no footwear at all for dance classes. Please bring either appropriate dance shoes (character, jazz, ballroom, etc.) or sneakers that have never been worn outside. If the dance style permits, you may dance in socks or barefoot.

TUITION & PAYMENT

Payment is due at or before the first class. We accept any major credit cards, cash, andor checks made payable to Broadway On The Side.
